Any DragonflyBSD users here?
I have searched for a way to fix this all over the known places with no luck. Out of sheer stupidity and lack of relevant knowledge I deleted (rm) all the installed non-autoremovable packages directories in /var/db/pkg/ . After that, pkgin list couldn't list any installed packages ("requested list is empty"), can't then remove & upgrade installed packages prior to the mishap. Probably only the pkgin import can fix it but i haven't got a list! Does anyone know if you can somehow reconnect them? Cheers Despite the problems that may occur (mostly to the still BSD bit illiterate of us..), I have to point out that Dragonfly&NetBSD rock for real. I came from various GNU/Linux distros and the difference in stability & package management (at least) is pretty obvious. I'm impressed. PS. Shouldn't Dragonfly get a section of its own?

Welcome, enoch82!
![]() We want to give room to all members of the *BSD family, & help promote the growth of all. However to do so, we need users to participate by creating threads, answering questions, & help shepherd the overall dialogue along. Nevertheless, a search of the archives doesn't show a lot of Dragonfly discussion as of yet. Once it grows, we will happily create a section specifically for that community. Stay tuned! |
