Hi, all!
After upgrade to 8.2-RC2 private network interface changed from "ndis0" to "ste0". My question is. Can I change from ste0 to ndis0? Because I have configuration with ndis0 and I don't want to change all my configuration. ![]() If someone couldn't understand I can explain again. I'm sorry but my english it's not so good. |

ndis(4) is a wrapper for using Windows NDIS drivers, generally people prefer NOT using hacks like that if a native driver exists.
If ste(4) is attaching now, and it works, then that means someone wrote a new driver.. or adapted an existing driver to work for your specific card/chipset. TL;DL version, switch your configuration to ste0.. it's a native FreeBSD driver. |
