Anyone have a vnd file disappear? I put my home directory on an encrypted file and attached it to snvd0. well, my encrypted file just disappeared on me one day when I unmounted and vnconfig -u'ed it. Not sure why. This happen to anyone else?
Maybe this isn't the correct way to have an encrypted home directory |

Without a log of activity there is no way to determine what you did or did not do, or what the root cause might be.
I suspect human error of some kind, since this is the first I've heard of such a thing happening. There is an alternative to vnd(4) for encrypting file systems: softraid(4) and its CRYPTO discipline. I use it with portable platforms for encrypting /home.
