oh that would be Solaris 9, and I think using the native LDAP client and what to server it with not sure. Isnt there one built in or should I just set up a 10 server and add something to that?

i've done it, i've done it ... took me a few weeks .... was very painful! hahaha What release of solaris 9 do you have - there's a bug in the earlier versions that doesn't allow solaris ( and therefor samba ) to see any groups other than the users default group. You will HAVE to use native ldap client, this comes with both solaris 9 and 10 and if you have the choice, upgrade to solaris 10 ( sol 9 is too old IMO ) |

We are using this.
SunOS 5.9 Generic_122300-10 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire So its kinda old but we did do some patching. What kind of ldap server did you use or does it exist in Solaris 10? I may have to setup a 10 server separate then migrate the 9's over time. |
