new openbsd user can't connect to adsl

I have installed only the package : gnome-session

If you have already installed the gnome meta-package, you need not re-install anything.

Still not clear to me what do I have to do.

• Edit /etc/rc.conf.local, ensure pkg_scripts variable includes "dbus_daemon" in the list of scripts to execute.
• Edit /root/.xinitrc, ensuring that gnome-session is started via ck-launch-session
• # reboot
• Log in as root
• # startx
• Report your results here.

In /etc/rc.conf


I did this:

pkg_scripts=dbus_daemon

reboot

startx and I see gnome.

But it has nothing, no xterm no internet , no mozilla , nothing.

No dash on left size.


I see application and chees but not the activities and places .


Did I forgot to install something?

Mozilla is an organization. There's no longer a program by that name. If you meant Firefox, or Seamonkey, or Thunderbird ... these are Mozilla programs, and are neither Gnome applets nor Gnome applications. You install them separately.

I'm not a Gnome user, and no one who is an active Gnome user has replied. The last Gnome install I conducted was for version 2.32.1, not Gnome 3.

If you are still interested in Gnome, barti, please let me know. If so, I will take the time to install it on a test platform, in order to provide more accurate and directed guidance.

gnome-panel and gnome-menus .... etc aren't included.
you have to install gnome-extras to enjoy -hopefully not my case- a full Gnome 3 Desktop Experience :-)
