USB remote with lircd and webcamd
Hi,
Im trying to setup a MCE USB remote to use with Mythtv on a Freebsd frontend. This is a usb remote using a dongle, its not connected to a DVB card. I am using the latest ports of lirc and webcamd. Webcamd successfully initialises /dev/lirc0, lircd starts correctly, and when I run "mode2 -d /dev/lirc0" I get lots of feedback. However, when I run "irw" nothing happens, no feedback at all. Plus obviously the remote doesnt work with Mythtv. All standard settings and no errors to report... im using all confs/maps for the remote that has worked on linux machines in the past. Can anyone think/suggest anything to try? Thanks
