NetBSD forum suggestion

One of the NetBSD forums is called: "NetBSD Ports and Packages".

I wonder if it would be more appropriate to instead call the forum "NetBSD Packages".

The reason is that in the context of NetBSD, a port does not refer to a third-party application. Rather, it refers to a system architecture.

Port

This is the term used by FreeBSD and OpenBSD people for what we call a package. In NetBSD terminology, “port” refers to a different architecture.

Embellishing on anomie's suggestion, how about "NetBSD packages system" given that this is the name used in The pkgsrc guide?

This seems like very sound reasoning to me. Thank you for the suggestion. The name has now been changed.
