Why I can't select language from gdm?

I am not familiar with openbsd.

I installed openbsd 4.6 and gdm and gnome-session.

Now, I can't select language from gdm, I want set the locale in user level not system level, but how?

Further more, how to check the current locale setting?

I mean I can't run "locale" command to show the supported locales?

gnome-session locale files are installed in /usr/local/share/locale. See the -L option of pkg_info(1).

A sample gdm locale.alias file will be installed in /usr/local/share/examples/gdm/locale.alias and also in /etc/X11/gdm/locale.alias

I don't use gdm, so other than suggesting you use gdmsetup, I would refer you to the gnome.org website and the online gdm documentation.

There is no "locale" command, as, OpenBSD doesn't support any locales.. except "C".

Support for UTF-8 has been discussed at times, but currently is not available. If you want further context, search through the official misc@ mailing list for additional information. ie.
