trouble burning to dvdrw

Open Solaris 05 -08

i am trying to copy an avi file 790 megs to a dvd rw disk.
Using CD/DVD Creator

And i keep getting a stupid error telling me to insert
a blank disk or only to use a compatable disk such as
DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RW

i had to erase it from windows to make sure it was empty.
And i still can not use write to the disk.

My Disks are all compatable with my drive as well.

Can someone please help me with this

Does Slowaris supports your DVD+RW burner?

Yes it does support my drive,
as i am able to burn regular DVDs.

Is it possible because i erased the DVD+RW
from windows using alcohol that the
format is not recognized.

I am not sure what is wrong.

i am reading a list of commands and it said
DVD+RW are not allowed to be blanked

So it does recognize my Disk aparently
i am looking for many more erase commands

It keeps also telling me i need free space and
i am thinking if it is possible there are
deleted files on that disk taking up room.

If so how can i get rid of those or perform
a Deep erase or similar.

Open Solaris seems slower then Solaris 10
