6.3 > 7.2 kernel errors
Hello, doing a server upgrade from 6.3 to 7.2 and am having kernel errors
/usr/src/sys/i386/conf/CPSERVER: unknown option "GEOM_GPT" commented this out and get /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/CPSERVER: unknown option "TCP_DROP_SYNFIN" comment that out and it compiles fine, thing is is it ok to have these commented out? cheers

Seem one of them make most likely GEOM_GPT caused boot failure when doing reboot with
nextboot -k kernel.new * hard reboot at datacenter brought it backup but now still have to compile kernel for 7.2 ! cheers

Ok solved issue
The name of that option changed name, use GEOM_PART_GPT.

A lot of kernel option names changed between 6.x and 7.x, and again between 7.x and 8.x.
Best to read through /usr/src/sys/<arch>/conf/NOTES and /usr/src/sys/conf/NOTES before compiling a new kernel.
