Theo just posted to misc@ that the official release of OpenBSD 4.6 will be pushed back to November 1:
http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=125323117215354&w=2 November 1 has been the typical date for the fall even-numbered releases for most of the 3.x & 4.x series. The release of OpenBSD 4.6 had previously been announced to be October 1 due to the recent hackathon in Sweden. ...but you can still join in to share the love. Pre-order your copy of OpenBSD 4.6 today!

Theoretically this may allow for a longer development cycle for OpenBSD 4.7, so it may be a good thing.

No, BSDfan, the CD pressing problem did not change any of the development / freeze / test windows for 4.6.
4.6 was shortened by a month for hackathon timing: they needed it to occur *after* 4.6 had been tagged and all release engineering completed. 4.7 gets its extra month regardless.

I know that 4.6 is tagged, I just said it might allow for some additional time to be spent on 4.7.. perhaps not.

No, the release date for 4.7 will be May 1st no matter what.

Right. It gets its extra month regardless. The CD manufacturing problem(s) only changed the date of -release availability on the mirrors, and had no impact on development cycles.
