Greetings.
I've just tried to install Gnome on my OpenBSD 4.6 machine and I have a rather irritating problem. You see, I can't start gdm, but when I shutdown openbsd the login manager for gnome pops up but then disappear as the computer shuts down. Regards Hallin |

It appears gdm -is- running, else you would not see some of gdm display.
The installation message for the GDM package reads: Code:
To enable the GNOME Display Manager, add the following lines to
/etc/rc.local:
if [ -x /usr/local/sbin/gdm ]; then
echo -n ' gdm'; (sleep 5; /usr/local/sbin/gdm)&
fi
Perhaps you should run /usr/sbin/gdmsetup to configure GDM.
