dns server problem.
Im used to using windows server for this purpose.
I first configured a reverse zone, then a zone for my domain and made a pointer. The server startup fine and works perfect as a local dns server, but somehow all online queries is denied. This server is suppose to act authorative to my domain.

I don't have any problem with using a local, private DNS server.
You neither told us what DNS server you are using, nor give us any configuration information.I use OpenBSD's implementation of BIND, and I have both allow-query and forwarders configured in /var/named/etc/named.conf -- it works as intended.
