I want to add a new RAID 1 server by cloning it from my original obsd mail/web server. My plan is to setup a new raid 1 server first before restoring from dump. I'd like to use this how to but I don't know at what step to do the restore from dump. My biggest concern is overwriting my raid kernel when I do my restore. Here's the link:

Here is a step-by-step process:
1. Avoid all 3rd party, out-of-date and unsupported "how to" documents. 2. Read about RAIDframe in the FAQ and in associated man pages. Hint: FAQ 14.13 has a number of links. Use 'em. 3. Experiment, and learn. Use either spare hardware or a virtual machine. 4. Return here with specific questions.
