Hello All...
I was doing some searching on Cloud Computing and after a few minutes was looking to see if FreeBSD was in the game. I cannot find any references so far in my short search except to see that the Open Source "Cloud Computing" software is using a license similar to FreeBSD license. Does anyone know of any work being done to enable FreeBSD (or any BSD OS) as a host or serving member in a Cloud Computing scenario(grid). Here are some links that I have found related to Open Source efforts & Cloud Computing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_computing#Platform http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_%28computing%29 - - - - http://ostatic.com/blog/eucalyptus-s...s-with-funding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocks_Cluster_Distribution - - - - http://www.rocksclusters.org/wordpress/?page_id=80 ( Available for: ) - - - - http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/08/apple-cloud (??) |

I have a feeling you are confusing "cloud computing" with "cluster computing".
