Study Section 15 of the FAQ very carefully:
http://openbsd.org/faq/faq15.html
All applications vetted by the OpenBSD project are called ports. Many ports have been pre-compiled into packages. Installing applications through packages is the recommended process users should take.
The OpenBSD project also provides Makefiles for all vetted applications because packages are not available for all applications on all platforms. Compiling should only be done if packages are not available.
A list of all available packages for OpenBSD 4.3 can be found at the following:
http://www.openbsd.org/4.3_packages/
Discussion of all vetted applications (including -current...) can be found at the following:
http://openports.se/
I wish to use x.org...
The OpenBSD project converted to Xorg (Xenocara) back in OpenBSD 4.2.
...fluxbox...
...which can be found in packages.
...and why not firefox 3!?
OpenBSD 4.3 was released April 1, 2008. Firefox 3 was released June 17, 2008 & is just now going into 4.4-beta.
