Users please bare with the forum administrators whilst the final configuration changes are made to DaemonForums. This is still a new forum and teething problems are inevitable.

Please report any unusual behaviour or bugs to one of the administrators or moderators so we can work with the community to make this forum the best resource for BSD information.

I think it's unsual behavior to make you a moderator. :)

Heh, you thought you could escape me that easily? Now (in Monty Python French accent) Go away or I will taunt you a second time. :)

Irrepressibly yours,

Ok, CarpetSmoker, that one made me laugh at loud, glad I'm not at work.

Of course, the answer is, NOOOO--don't ban Corey_James, he's really ok. :)

Anyway, thank you for you efforts, over a long time. Hey, a "thanks" button? I'll click that! Here's to a long and profitable relationship.

DNS is still slow from NY. Using the numeric IP works fine though.

The numerical IP is fine, but it seems that the DNS change has not propagated to my server yet. This has happened before.

No problems with site being slow or access problems here in St. Louis.

Fine on the US left coast too once the DNS changes resolved.

A couple of hours ago, I think there was an internal server error. The domain name was resolved fine but when I visited the forum, it was nothing but a blank page. Hopefully it wont happen occasionally

Hey, congratulations on the new site. It's too bad about bsdforums . . . that was my favorite tech forum. I didn't post there much but I always got my questions answered. So, I guess I'll just burden this forum with my noobness :D

Thanks for the forum!

how long has this forum been running? It's actually quite easy to determine, by looking at the member list.. whois records.. etc

The first person to register was kienjakenobi on 04-29-2008, (April 29th, 2008.).
The domain was registered on 04-28-2008, (April 28th, 2008).

Now you know.. :p

Do you have plan to organise the 1st month birthday celebration? :D . Something like a mini party on IRC, MSN sounds lot of fun :p

I beg to differ :) What if kienja registers domain and his own username but the forum remains closed for a couple of weeks?

If you and your wife had a baby on the 3rd of March but didn't tell anyone about it until the 12th of April, Would the babies birthday be March 3rd or April 12th? ;)

I rest my case.. :o

Technically you are right. Still, if I understand wubrgamer's question correctly, by "running" he means when the site was active/open for public registration, not when it is created/set up :)
