smp support/progress for ppc

came across a g4, and put obsd on it. after a kernel compile, got a panic and later read in the faq smp isn't supported.

any updates on this?

i did notice generic.mp, but i get a panic on the first boot. knowing some have gotten to work, i'll have to give it a go
